Think tank: How can we design more sustainable products?

During product design, 80% of its environmental impact is determined, making it crucial to embed sustainability from the beginning. This think tank aims to discuss integrating sustainability as a fourth dimension in design processes, alongside time, cost, and quality.
We will discuss how starting from regulations such as RoHS and REACH, we can learn how to implement upcoming regulations. Currently, this could be done document-driven or data-driven with a limited impact on the efficiency of the organization.
New regulations such as the Digital Product Passport but also Lifecycle assessments require a data-driven connectivity and various sources of information. This is pushing companies to become digital in their design processes.
Sustainable products will always be a part of the circular economy which can only be implemented using a data-driven approach. After an introduction from the experts, the participant will be able to discuss questions and thoughts with the group and gather insights from leading visionaries in this field, as we aim to unravel immediate actions.
